We are fortunate enough to have some good friends right on our block. One of them is Philip (AKA Uncle P-Dawg), a Louisianian who loves to socialize and host. We all know that if we see his garage door up on Saturday mornings it is code for, "Come on in, I"m making breakfast." Breakfast typically consists of some combination of blueberry muffins, eggs, bacon, pecan waffles, juice and coffee.
Last Saturday Seth, Norah and I were all up, showered and ready for the day by 8:00. We decided to take advantage of the beautiful weather by going for a walk. As we passed Philip's house, we noticed the garage was up and decided to stop in to say hi. Timing is everything - he had just finished making pecan waffles and bacon, so we joined him for breakfast.
