It has been an interesting week with Norah. We have felt, though very much wanted to deny, that she may be throwing some tantrums. What? At 15 months? Could that really be happening?
It is pretty obvious that Norah has a "strong" personality. She knows what she wants and it is a challenge to figure out how to repond when she can't have her way. Since she is too young to reason with, our only mechanism right now is divert her attention to something else more enticing.
But are they tantrums?
I don't really know. I'm hoping they are actually more related to the top tooth that just popped through. She has definitely seemed a bit more...sensitive...the past several days. She cried much of the way home on Thursday - just cried...hard. None of the usuals worked. She had plenty of cheerios, and wouldn't calm down with my singing or her music.
We have also had some difficult meal times. But a tooth coming in seems like a good excuse to me.
Yes, there has been back arching, head throwing and crying. But the new tooth gives me hope that we're not officially in the tantrum phase quite yet.

We have been through some serious rounds of tantrums in the last month or two, one of which you witnessed when we put Sarah in the car. I'm hear to report though that it has gotten better. All of a sudden the car is OK and for the first time in MONTHS Sarah and Jessica are both willing to lay down and let me change their diapers. My theory is that their drive for independence has finally caught up with some of their comprehension skills, so transitions are getting a little easier for them to handle. Good luck!
And I meant "here" not "hear." Argh!
