Last Friday Seth, Norah and I drove to Brenham, Texas for the afternoon. We enjoyed a nice lunch at a quaint little place just off Main street across from the courthouse. Next on the list was a stop for Blue Bell ice cream (Brenham is home to the Blue Bell factory). We both enjoyed big waffle cones - mine filled with cookies 'n cream and Seth's with triple chocolate. It was delicious.
On the way out of town we stopped at a field full of blue bonnets to take some pictures. Unfortunately Norah had just fallen asleep in the car, and was battling a cold to begin with. Despite all of this she was a trooper - I think she was quite enamored by the bright blue bonnets. There were cars lined up all along the side of the highway, everyone stopping for the same reason. Before entering the field we had to pass by a "No Trespassing" sign that hung on a fence next to an open gate. We wonder if the owner opens his gate each spring to allow eager parents like us to partake in this great Texas tradition.
Here are a few of our best shots.

Ummm... definitely thought you meant you buy a blue bonnet. Like the kind you wear on your head! Funny! I think the flowers are WAY cooler.
