At first I accidentally typed "Snot in Houston," which also would have been completely accurate (Norah has had a cold all week), although not the intended subject matter.
It snowed yesterday! It was pretty fun. Most of the pictures we took were before anything was really sticking, but you can see from the pictures that some nice big flakes were really falling. The temperatures dropped below freezing last night (good riddance, mosquitos!) and we woke up to snow on the ground and rooftops. The sun is out this morning, and although it isn't supposed to get very warm today the snow is slowly melting.
For those of you who don't live in Texas, you might chuckle that what you see in the pictures was the cause of significant alarm throughout the city, including many school closings. Obviously it happens infrequently enough that the city doesn't have the proper equipment to deal with it, but us Midwesterners still find it slightly amusing.
Winter is finally here...although it is supposed to be 70 degrees next Saturday.
