The house is in a great neighborhood with curbs and sidewalks and nice mature trees. It was built in 1964, but has had a lot of nice updates. It is a 3 bedroom, 2 bath with a large study/den and a perfect backyard. There are some things we would like to do eventually, but it is literally move-in ready, which was definitely our preference. The house has passed every inspection and test with flying colors. In fact, the inspector told us we, "hit the jackpot."
We are giving up some conveniences by staying in the city, but we knew that would be the case when we made the decision to remain in this area (the new house is only 2 1/2 miles from our current home), and we are still very happy with it. I can picture us there with Norah, walking up and down the sidewalks, and to the park that is just 3 blocks away.
As for our house, showings are definitely picking up - we had 4 just today. The past two nights have been a little hectic because evening showings have meant rushing to pick Norah up, getting home, packing up her dinner, pjs and toys, and going down to neighbor Philip's house to hang out. Philip has given us a key to come and go as needed while our house is being shown, and I can't think of a better option!
So, we are hopeful, but at the same time quite anxious. We'll feel much better once we get an offer on our house, and just hope that it doesn't take too long! With the exception of a few blog entries, we are spending our evenings working, reviewing lending documents, on the phone with our realtor and signing papers.
Fingers crossed for a weekend full of showings!

Ang - the house looks great! I didn't realize it had so many updates. You guys will love the larger kitchen and separate dining room and breakfast nook. The backyard looks perfect for Norah! Can't wait to see it.

The house looks amazing!! I never would've guessed it was built in the '60's had you not said so. Katie and I are very excited for you guys and have our fingers crossed for a quick sale of your place.
