A Little Tale About a Girl Named Peanut

Once upon a time there was a little girl named Peanut. She was sweet and expressive, sported a classy mullet haircut, and frequently made her mommy and daddy giggle.

One morning Peanut was busy carrying books from her toy box to the kitchen where mommy and daddy were scurrying around, packing lunches, eating breakfast, cleaning up from Peanut's breakfast...AND attempting to make their house appropriate for showings.

After three trips back and forth with books, Peanut decided to sit down on the kitchen floor and read. But being the social butterfly that she is, she didn't want to do it alone.

She patted the floor with her tiny hand and outstretched fingers. "Na, na, na," she said as she patted, looking up at her mommy and daddy.

"Do you want us to sit down with you," mommy asked?

"Oh!" said Peanut (her version of "yes").

Despite the madness of the morning daddy grabbed his coffee and sat beside his little Peanut on the floor. He looked up at mommy and shrugged his shoulders as if to say, "Oh well. Why not?"

While mommy continued frantically wiping, packing and organizing, Peanut read with daddy. But she wasn't satisfied for long. With daddy on her right, Peanut patted the floor to her left.

"Na, na, na," she said as she patted, looking up at mommy.

Peanut's mommy and daddy smiled to each other. A quick glace at the microwave clock told mommy there was no time to spare, but she couldn't pass up the moment. She grabbed her coffee and joined her family.

It didn't last long, but it was a great few minutes. There they sat - the little Peanut with her mommy and daddy on either side, in the middle of the kitchen floor, with no time to spare, reading books...
