Norah still adores her cousins. Saturday Mimi and Papa brought them down for a visit. Since they were going to arrive around nap time, I put Norah down a little early, hoping she would still manage to get a bit of a nap.
As usual, we refrained from telling her who was coming to visit because in the past we have felt that she gets so excited that she doesn't nap.
Mom and dad prepped the boys about being quiet when they came. Norah had not fallen asleep yet, but I was still hoping for a nap. TJ and Luka did a very good job, considering the size of our house (and the fact that they are 4 and 5 1/2!). However, at one point Luka forgot to whisper and said something from the bathroom (which is right by Norah's room) down the hall to Mimi.
Norah's fussing temporarily stopped and then she started calling for "Lu-laaaa!" We left her in bed for another 10 minutes and then gave up.
We ate homemade pizza for lunch and then headed to the park to enjoy a beautiful day.
After a while we came back and Norah got her first batting lesson from Papa. He used a left-hand grip, of course, which is how he taught Lisa and me to hit (because you are one step closer to first base).
And just a random picture of Norah and me unintentionally dressed in matching black and jeans (I swear, it really was unintentional).
P.S. We paid for the lack of a nap that evening. She threw another one of her fits over something completely insignificant. We eventually calmed her down. She was asleep by 6:15, slept until almost 7AM and woke up ready to go.
