We got her bag packed (about 4 hours early), and met mom halfway at 11:30. Here is mom's report:
"What a nice time we have had today! Norah and I got vegetables, then home. Rode tricycle, played with toys, made dinner and waiting for the call to meet and get TJ which she was very excited about. They play so very well together, building, coloring, and gigling. At 7:00, we took them on a quick tour of neighbor hood lights, then TJ read the entire "Biscuit" book to Norah and she just about didn't keep it together. Had her all ready for bed before books of course. Her eyes closed almost as soon as she hit the pillow. TJ had "dessert", then was in bed by 8:00 and also right to sleep. Will be interesting to see how Norah does in the bunk room with TJ and no music or white noise. She didn't want the radio on. But, we had two sweeties tonight. Just had to remind TJ occasionally about his choice of words while teasing but then he did very well. Norah adores him.
I made a special dinner for them...at least they both seemed to love it. I made chicken nuggets, which get rolled in whole wheat bread crumbs and then put under broiler for 10 minutes. TJ loved them. Also made baked rice with two whole leaks and a sauce of feta, mustard and sour cream. TJ also devoured that, plus green beans and red beets. Norah ate everything on her plate except beans."
The house is never quite the same without Norah here, but I am so glad she gets to have special times like this with Mimi, Papa and her cousins.
Next week it's off to Goshen for special times with the other side of the family. What a lucky girl!
