Aunt Von's Visit

We were so lucky to receive a visit from Aunt Von all the way from Denver a week and a half ago! Both kids warmed up to her immediately, and she got to experience what it is like for Mimi when she visits, having a shadow following her around at all times. It seemed that she was familiar to both kids, we assume because she looks and sounds similar to Mimi. 

We did all of the typical activities - walks, swings, slide, sandbox, games, puzzles, coloring and reading books. 

Von also got in on Norah's last soccer game of the fall season (she is on the sidelines on a blanket with Macy watching Norah play goalie). 

Von and I were able to enjoy lunch together right after she arrived on Friday - it was a great time to start getting caught up. Saturday Lisa and the kids came down and we all hung out for a while together. Saturday evening Von, Lisa and I went out to eat together and catch up some more. Sunday we all met Andrea and Ally for lunch. The six kids always have a fun time being together. 

It was so awesome to have Von here! She blended right into our lives for the few days she was here, which was not surprising to me at all. We really appreciate her making an effort to visit!
