The Routine is Taking Shape

After almost two full weeks of me being back at work, I already feel like we are falling into a bit of a routine. A typical day goes something like this:

6AM: Ang wakes up, showers, eats, and tries to get as ready as possible before Norah wakes up
7:00-7:15: Seth wakes up Norah and Ang feeds her
7:30-7:45: Ang and Norah off to daycare; Seth off to work
8:00: Ang and Norah at daycare
8:30: Ang gets to work
4:45 - 5:00: Ang leaves work
5:30 - 5:45: Ang and Norah arrive home and play
6:15 - 6:30: Start the bedtime routine
7:00 - 7:30: Norah goes down for the night.

Seth had a super busy week this week so he was getting home a bit later than usual, but typically he will get home in time to do Norah's bath. He often reads to her while I am feeding her, and then takes over to burp her and put her down. She is fairly consistently waking up only once per night, anywhere between 2:30 and 4:30. Every now and then she throws in an 11 hour night, or more rarely a night of short 3-4 hour stretches (not fun). I have to say, though, I am quite pleased with her sleeping habits overall.

It is working out well for Seth to take Norah to my sister's on Tuesdays. This week, he also met my mom on the highway on Monday to hand off Norah since the daycare was closed. It's nice to have that option for now, but mom and dad are headed back to Chicago for 5-6 weeks soon.

It seems as though everyday we think of something to make things go just a little smoother. Tonight, for example, I decided we just need to buy some more bottles so we don't have to spend 15 minutes (minimum) cleaning them everynight (duh!). And the other day I got dressed for work before feeding Norah just to let her sleep as long as possible. But not only is that asking for spit up all over my suits, but it is just that much less convenient to feed her as well. We also decided we need to make more of a conscious effort to get ready for our week earlier in the day on Sunday. This past weekend we found ourselves rushing around all evening until we fell into bed at 9.

Time for bed. We are glad it is Friday in this household. With the weekend comes more family time (which almost always includes walks if the weather is nice).

We are enjoying our new camera, altough still have much to learn. Here are a few pictures we took over the weekend. Norah smiles ALL the time...until we put a camera in her face.

I'm glad you guys are getting it figured out. It's still hard not to have more time with them during the week though, isn't it?!

The photos are precious!
