The Old Gang...Together Again

You may remember hearing of our neighborhood gang from our old house. There were about five households (three of them single men, two with kids) that hung out together quite often. That house was awesome for us at the time, but once we started a family we knew we needed to start thinking about the next step. But we were sad to leave because we had made some great memories on the block with friends.

We were the second of these five households to leave, and since then all but one of the single guys have moved. The good news? Three of of the households are in our neighborhood!

Courtney and Orlando, with Connor and Andrew, moved about 4 blocks north of us last fall. We have enjoyed exchanging impromptu drop ins and meeting at the park. A few weeks ago we had a last minute cookout...just like old times. Though Connor and Norah haven't seen each other as frequently over the past two years they are best buds when they get together. That evening we joked that these could be pictures for their wedding slide show...

And Philip - frequent breakfast host in the old 'hood - moved into our new 'hood about a month ago. He lives two blocks south of us, and we enjoy more frequent pop ins from him as well. He and Norah are buds, as you can see from the pictures below. 

So it's not quite the same since we're not all on the same block, but it's pretty darn close. Oh, and did I mention that Philip has a pool? Uh huh...
