Memory of an Elephant

Tonight while I was going to the bathroom Norah started talking about our potty situation (no, the restroom is not always a private place in our house). 

"When Daddy is going potty in my bathroom, then you can go in your bathroom. And sometimes when you are going potty in your bathroom, then Daddy can go in my bathroom. And when Daddy is sleeping, then you can go in my bathroom, too."

I said, "Yes, we are lucky to have two bathrooms. You know, not everyone even has one bathroom. Some people even have to go potty in a hole in the ground."

And to my surprise she said, "Well then we should give them money from the food bank!"

You may or may not remember my post from Christmas about the Gunden Family Christmas Show. The quick recap is that the show included a lesson on the importance of giving, and led to a trip to the Food Bank. Apparently something stuck.
