About a month ago I took the kids to meet their cousins, Aunt Li, and Mimi and Papa for bluebonnet pictures and a picnic in the park. Bluebonnet pictures were not overly successful, but here are a few:
Later that weekend our friend Philip had an Easter party for all of his friends with kids. He's done this before, and while he doesn't have kids himself he throws a party that is enjoyable for all ages. It was complete with a spread of food, two egg hunts (one for younger kids and one for older), gifts for the parents of the kids that found eggs with a penny in them, and chocolate crosses and Easter bunnies on our way out.
Macy loved the Easter egg hunt, and once she understood what was going on she refused to let go of her basket.
Then it was Easter at the lake with the family, which has become a bit of a tradition. As usual, it was complete with a delicious meal, easter egg hunt, playing on the patio, and a bit of ping pong.
Other recent events include a weekend getaway for Seth and me while the girls stayed with Mimi and Papa (something we have since decided needs to be an annual affair), soccer, birthday parties and outings with friends.
